Harlen Bell Triumphs Again at 2023 South Australian Kart Championships

In the adrenaline-fueled world of kart racing, Harlen Bell, a promising young talent and a proud recipient of the Mediscrubs Junior Athlete Sponsorship program, has once again demonstrated his exceptional skills and tenacity at the 2023 South Australian Kart Championships. Held at the Southern Go-kart Club in Adelaide from September 15th to 17th, this prestigious event saw Harlen's remarkable journey to victory.

The Southern Go Kart Club had recently revamped its track, presenting a formidable challenge with its new surface and layout. The demanding nature of the circuit, characterized by relentless high G-forces and no respite, tested Harlen's physical and mental stamina to the limit during Friday's practice sessions. Such was the intensity that he was unable to complete all the practice sessions due to physical exhaustion.

As the weekend progressed, Saturday featured qualifying and two heat races, where Harlen secured a solid second place. However, the gap to the fastest driver appeared substantial, casting a shadow over the possibility of a win.

Sunday, finals day, posed an even more daunting challenge with races extended to 16 and 21 laps. The demand for endurance was higher than ever.

Yet, Harlen showcased unmatched determination and racecraft in the final. He seized the lead right from the opening lap, displaying a high level of race IQ. Even when faced with constant pressure and momentarily relinquishing the lead around the 10-lap mark, Harlen never gave up. Instead, he promptly reclaimed his position on the following lap.

Harlen remained focused and composed, attacking the track with unwavering determination during the final 10 laps. His incredible effort culminated in a victory by less than one second, securing his second consecutive State title for the season and adding another glorious chapter to the legacy of Team JSH Racing.

Quote from Jackson Soslin-Harlow. Team JSH driver team principal

Reflecting on Harlen's achievements, Jackson Soslin-Harlow, Team JSH's driver team principal, expressed his pride, stating,

"Cadet 9 - Harlen Bell came away with his second state title this season, making it 2 from 2 for JSH racing. A few months back, he took out the NT state title as well. We had a game plan before the final, and Harlen stuck to it word for word, showing how his maturity is growing as a young driver. I couldn't be prouder."

The team also extended their heartfelt gratitude to their dedicated supporters, with a special mention to Mediscrubs for their unwavering support, enabling them to pursue their dreams and compete at the highest level.

As they set their sights on the next challenge, the NSW State Championships at Lismore Kart Club, they invite local supporters to join them on this thrilling journey as they strive to bring another state title back to Queensland. Harlen Bell's remarkable journey continues to inspire and impress, and the Mediscrubs family stands proudly behind him.
